Mt Kilimanjaro continues to preserve a mysticism that defies all recent knowledge of her slopes.  Snow capped and at nearly 20,000 feet, the roof of Africa! The legendary mountain that has inspired adventures, writers and poets. Climb it to the peak or simply take a hike along its slopes. Enjoy sitting by its pure streams and gaze at flowers that never wither or wilt.

Kilimanjaro, by any name, is a metaphor for the compelling beauty of East Africa. When you see it, you understand why. Not only is this the highest peak on the African continent but it is also the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, rising in breathtaking isolation from the surrounding coastal scrubland – elevation around 900 metres – to an imperious 5,895 metres (19,336 feet).

Scenery Safaris will organize  individuals or groups climbing, this will include climbing gear, porters, food, accommodation and transport during your staying.

There are main popular routes on the mountain Kilimanjaro: the Marangu and Machame Rongai Route  is far less travelled. None of these routes are technical. For better deal  is best to travel/climb in groups of more than two people .

Kilimanjaro truly a highest free standing mountains of the world. The huge, solitary volcano is unaccompanied by any mountain chain. People who are in good shape can make the ascent to its summit in a matter of days, passing through five distinct ecological zones along the way. The lower slopes of the mountain are defined by coffee and banana fields that rise up and end where the mountain's forest begins. An average of 80 inches of rainfall a year make the forest home to some botanical treats.

ree ferns in this region are known to grow up to 20 feet, and giant lobelia often reach 30 feet. At an altitude of about 9,000 feet, the forest gives way to grasslands and shrubbery, and elephant can sometimes be spotted roaming the high slopes. At about 13,000 feet life begins to recede, a result of extreme weather conditions inhospitable to anything more than small mosses and lichens.
